Funding for Individual Artists !

Materials for the Arts received this news from Independent Production Fund: I wanted to let you know about a new service that we are offering at the Independent Production Fund. We are providing fiscal sponsorship for individual filmmakers and for-profit production companies looking to raise money for their film projects from foundation, government grants, or online tax-deductible donations from individuals. Because most foundations and government institutions will only make grants to a non-profit, the Independent Production Fund (a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization) can serve as the fiscal sponsor of a filmmaker’s project.

As part of the fiscal sponsorship program, we are offering several services to help filmmakers with their projects including online donation and ticket sales processing, fundraising consultations, and equipment and space rental discounts.

If any one you know might be interested in using this fiscal sponsorship service (also called fiscal agent), please feel free to have them contact me. Additionally, if you have an email list or the chance to let more people know about this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is a link to the section on our website describing our fiscal sponsorship program: http://www.ipfmedia.org/fiscalsponsorship. Our press release announcing the service is also available.

Welcome one and all

This discussion group was created to see what opportunities are available for helping fellow artists by reusing leftover materials and incorporating other ecofriendly practices. We will be exploring ways to make quality productions under the constraints of rising technical costs and tight budgets
